Utrecht University, School of Governance (USG) contributes to the Sport Coalitions in Action Program in Bhutan with their extensive knowledge about monitoring and evaluation of sports programs. They  developed an effective tailor-madesystem for the Bhutan program. USG designed a baseline survey  and and will conduct the midterm evalauation and final evaluation of the program in 2012.
Coordinator of the M&E program is Mr Frank van Eekeren, senior consultant and researcher at USG.

The baseline research was done in June 2010 by Meinou Steemers under supervision of Frank van Eekeren.

Reinout van Santen, who lived in Bhutan, supported the sport coalitions in action team in Chang Jiji on monitoring and evaluation. He coached the team members in the principles and set up a system to gather information required for evaluation purposes. To support the information process he introduced a sports coalition bhutan wiki space page. He guided Sonam Choeden, dedicated member of the youth workers team since january 2011, in collecting data and storing the relevant information in the wiki space pages. He also helped the team to get information about boding, bridging and  social networking in Chang Jiji. They together drew social maps of the different age groups in Chang Jiji to get a better vieuw of problems and possible ways to address these.

Reinout wrote an evaluation in September 2011, which was included in the report to the Dutch Ministry of Public Health, Welfare and Sports in December 2011. He left Thimphu on 3 february 2012, confident that the team would be able to collect data for the final evaluation of the Sport Coalitions in Action Program.
